Memory Narrative (this is an older version I will try to replace soon)

I walked slowly from the boarding area as I waved goodbye to my father. We had had a fantastic time in California and I was upset that I had to leave, but I needed to see the rest of my family back in Michigan. I walked through the gate and saw hundreds more people taking the same trip as I was! I wondered what would it be like. Would it be fun or scary? Who would I meet? Was it safe? Well, there was no turning back now, so I tried to relax. Probably the only thing that was calming me down was the fact that I knew plane rides are safer than car rides. After my experience coming to California by car, I was sure I was safe, but that's another story. So, as I peeked into the plane, I saw how huge it really was! If it was any larger, another plane could probably fit inside it! I settled into my seat and looked at some of the magazines in the compartment. They weren't exactly entertaining but I read them anyway. They had advertisements for some new gadgets and furniture. I put them down and asked the passenger next to me "Is flying scary?"

"No," she said. "The only scary part is the takeoff."

          "Oh, ok," I replied.

After a short time the speaker crackled and said, "Ok, we are clear for takeoff."

I grabbed my seat and clenched it for dear life. I felt like I was being launched though a supersonic cannon. I was pushed so far back in my seat that I thought it was quicksand. Once we were finally in the air, things started to calm down and I relaxed. I waved goodbye to beautiful California.  The passengers next to me were a nice Asian girl and her sister. They had one thing in common with me, TALKING! I normally get shut up before I can finish one sentence, but they didn't seem to mind because they talked as much as I did. So we talked about where we were from and what life was like there. We continued this until the sisters fell asleep. The food on the plane was not half bad. We got served nice food boxes and cold drinks. After some time had passed, I decided to fall asleep too. When I finally woke up I was amazed. We were flying right though a cloud! It was so white you couldn't see anything for miles. I wondered how can they see through it to guide the plane. This started to scare me, but soon enough there was only forty five minutes to go and I couldn't wait. The rest of the flight went on as planned and all went well. Unfortunately for me, nobody told me that the landing was the scariest part. The plane slowly descended from the clouds while I was preparing for a bumpy landing. Once again I was pushed back in my seat but this time much harder. When the wheels touched the ground I had thought they had exploded but we were ok, and I was happy to be home. But before I left, I was still puzzled with how we could fly though a cloud with zero visibility. So, on my way out, I walked up to the front of the plane. I asked, "May I speak to the pilot?"

"Yes you may," the attendant said politely.

The pilot greeted me and showed me the controls.

Then I asked "How do you fly in zero visibility?"

"Oh, that's simple,we have a meter that shows us how high we are and at what angle." He showed me the controls, and I was amazed. It was amazingly accurate. "Do you know what that meter is called? He asked. "No I don't" I replied. "Its called a So, I thanked the pilot for his time then left the plane to see my family once again.

Small Moment Story (again revised version will be in soon)

I’m so bored! I said to my two best friends as we sat on the soft green grass. We had no clue what to do. Well do you want to go bike riding my friends suggested. No, I replied. Then one of them suggested climbing onto the neighbor’s roof. That’s a great idea! I said. We looked at the neighbor’s house. It seemed that no one was home. So we stood up and walked over to the house. How do we get up there I said. Then I noticed a small tree next to the house. How about we climb up the tree to get up I said. Once we were done climbing we wondered what we would do now. Then out of nowhere a car came by and rolled into the driveway. Oh no! I said. If they see us we are doomed! I hurried and grabbed my friends and hid behind the smokestack. My heart pounding thoughts racing I told my friends we have to jump, so we jumped. As if the pain of the fall wasn't enough we also trembled at the thought of the trouble we would be in when the secret got out.
